Day 40 - Ashfield Flats

Another early day on  the Swan River - we hit the road to beat the traffic, with a forecast of 37 degrees we wanted to get some morning painting done!

After finding our spot and getting stuck with the brushes a sudden haze set in - burnoff in the hills above Perth, the city becoming blanketed with haze....

One painting each today, but all is not lost - happy with our work and happy scouting the next location!

Ashfield Flats is definitely a charming place to paint given the right light - as an artist one can imagine visiting it throughout the seasons and capturing very different moods from the deceptively morose seeming scenery
